Barbara Cobas is Director, Onboard Sales & Buriness Development support  for Royal Caribbean International Cruise Line.


Barbara started her journey in the travel industry at a young age working in her father’s travel agency for more than 8 years from stamping brochures to booking air for his 4 store fronts located in the suburbs of Chicago, IL.

After graduating from Calvin College (Grand Rapids, MI) with a Spanish and Business degree travel was already in her blood and she joined Royal Caribbean International working shipboard in the Guest Activities Department.   After 2 wonderful years (and meeting her future husband) shipboard she put her legs back on land and Barbara joined Royal Caribbean’s Shoreside Training & Development team training their Customer Service, Groups and Individual Reservations teams.

Shortly thereafter she spent 7 years working in Hotel Operations supporting everyone from Activities Managers to Marketing & Revenue Managers and even Hotel Directors across the RCI fleet.  In August 2012, Barbara joined the RCI Sales organization overseeing their shipboard Onboard Sales team and internal Business Development Support team.  In her personal time, Barbara and her husband are actively involved with the Best Buddies organization in South Florida.

Rick Galizio is Sales Manager Eastern United States for Scenic River Cruises.  Based in Sarasota Florida Rick has over 30+ years of experience in the travel and tourism industry.  His love for travel started at the early age of 13 when he saved his money for a school trip to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland; that’s where he caught the bug and was hooked.


Traveling with his high school German teacher who eventually left teaching and opened Angersbach International Tours (A.I.T.Tours) Gerhard Angersbach became a mentor to Rick and nurtured his love of travel.  During and after his University studies Rick spent many holidays and summers working for A.I.T. Tours guiding student tours to Europe.    No stranger to the river cruise industry.  Rick started his career at Iceland Air and over the years has worked with some of the top Tour operators, Cruise lines and Wholesalers.   A lover of art history as well as Old World Cultures, Rick has a passion for travel …………
