We should not pray to God only when we want or need something from Him. On the other hand, prayer is the means by which we receive from God. Sometimes, we lack the things we want simply because we fail to make our requests to God. He wants us to experience fullness of joy in our life. To do so, we must develop the discipline of asking so we can receive from God.
