Shopping with my mother, Claire, inspired my new series, “I’m not buying that!”

This week I introduced a new weekly section to the website, called, “I’m not buying that!” Inspired by a frustrating shopping trip with my mom, Claire, who simply is not finding clothes she likes anymore now that she is over 70, “I’m not buying that!” is a chance to question rather than simply accept the status quo. I see it as a weekly conversation of the issues of the day and things that we all may be dealing with when it comes to fashion. It is a chance, too, hopefully, for you to know me better and to tell you that I often feel what you feel. And, that even though I am not a fashion insider, I will always love fashion and feel the need to express the best of me.
