Believing in your business:
This week we’ve been speaking to Cookstown’s CDE global. They plan to create 200 new jobs in Northern Ireland over the next 5 years. How do you begin to put a strategy in place for that type of growth?
Plus in studio we have milliner and jewellery designer Grainne Maher. She’s just opened her first shop after trying and testing “pop-up” boutiques. We’ll be talking to her about creativity, and how it’s an essential component for all businesses.
In terms of developing skills, The School of Life in London, is proving to be quite popular. They’ve decided to start a new five week intensive course for businesses to help people take control of their careers. To date one of their most popular short courses has been “how to find a job you love.” We’ll be asking if it’s realistic for everyone to be happy in their career?
One person who has her dream jobs is 25 year old Sarah Leonard from Bangor, she gave up a career in accounting to start a beauty comparison website, now there are already over 100,000 products on the site. Boots are among the retailers that have signed up to it.
Plus our start-up is Niall Campbell from Amphora NDT. Their technology has been used in the bird’s nest stadium in China.."
