Today's Thought

"What’s the point of local government when it comes to business? Should it be to simply do its own thing and get out of the way? Or does a coherent sense of place and power deliver better prospects for business growth? With new powers coming back to a local level we examine how the councillor and the entrepreneur can work together for the common good. In studio we have Derek McCallan, Chief Executive of the NI Local Government Association. We’re visiting Around Noon who’ve grown from working at a kitchen table in Newry to supplying over 30,000 food products a day, plus Newcel Paper count Tesco as one of their clients, and they've a unique way of testing out their products."

Featuring Derek McCallan, Chief Executive of the NI Local Government Association, Gareth Chambers from Around Noon and Eunan McGurk from Newcel Paper.
