Digital Economy

May 29, 2015

Have you stopped for a minute to consider how much you now rely on your digital technology?

For example, yesterday I processed dozens of emails and turned to Google on countless occasions for speedy information. I also paid for my street parking with my mobile app, checked my bank account on another app; and even ordered a take-away dinner with a few taps on my smartphone screen as I headed home after too long a day. My food was waiting for me when I arrived.

The changes are real and dramatic. In business, there’s nothing virtual about digital. What are the challenges and opportunities it presents for firms in NI?

Featuring Michael O'Hara from GMSA (organisers of World Mobile Congress in Barcelona) Bill McCluggage former CIO for Northern Ireland and founder of Laganview Associates, David Rosewell head of digital at Fujitsu UK, and Danny McConnell from Deloitte. Our start-up is Rachel Gawley from ChipIn.
