RUAS 004: The Seventh Day He Rested

September 27, 2015

On the Seventh day of creation, the Creator of the Universe rested.
He spent six days doing work which is so amazing, breathtaking and unfathomable that we are only scratching the surface in our efforts to discover and understand the depth of the creation in which He has placed us.

Then He did something different.  He rested.  This rest was so special to Him that He established it as part of the very order of the universe and invited us to participate in that rest with Him.
"God blessed the seventh day and seperated it as holy; because on that day God rested from all His work which He had created."  (Gen 2:3)
This day was so significant to the Creator, that He seperated it from all other days of the week.  The six creative days were beautiful and amazing too, but the seventh day was, and is, different.

Join Yiskah in this podcast as she is blessed to consider this rich and amazing topic, and delve into what the Scriptures reveal about the meaning of the Shabbat - the Sabbath day of rest, what it means for us in our lives and how we can practically enter into it and guard it in our lives.
"Tell the people of Israel, 'You are to guard my Sabbaths; for this is a sign between me and you through all your generations; so that you will know that I am YHVH, who sets you apart for me.  Therefore you are guard my Sabbath, because it is set apart for you." (Ex 31)
