Talking to People You Disagree with Is Real #Adulting

December 20, 2016

On this week's episode, I start off with a story about why service workers should never earn $15 an hour, an opinion shaped by a horrendous Pizza Hut experience.
Then, I talk about two encouraging stories of unlikely groups coming together and starting vital dialogues. First, the Mizzou College Republicans and a black fraternity; Second, Samantha Bee and Glenn Beck. Using those stories as a backdrop, I express how vital it is for us to expand our networks by talking to the very people we disagree with like adults.

Finally, I finished the episode with a plea for all young conservatives: preserve our ideology, challenge Republicans in power, and stay engaged.
