In 1993 the Canadian Football League expanded into the U.S. with the Sacramento Gold Miners. A year later, Baltimore joined the CFL and in each of its two years of existence, made it all the way to the Grey Cup. In 1995, the Stallions won the Cup 37-20 to become the only non-Canadian based team to win the CFL Championship.
