Geek Revolution Radio #153 – Remembering Robin Williams

October 12, 2016

Remembering Robin Williams. There are few in this world that inspire, entertain, and shape who we are.  From a career that spans over four decades, Robin Williams has done so much to inspire his audience.  On this weeks episode, we reflect on the work of Robin Williams, and what we loved so much about him.

Part One – Intro
To start off the show, the guys discussed their fantasy football league this year.  Specifically how bad Ryan is doing, as he has started the season 0 – 5, and how Will is in first place in the league.
The guys also discussed Star Wars Ep 8, and whether we’ll see Kylo Ren with a new mask.  They also discussed a few things they’re expecting for episode 8, as well as the upcoming Rogue One.
Ryan also brought up the new trailer for the upcoming Power Rangers movie, which looks like it draws a little inspiration from The Breakfast Club.  This movie seems to look like a darker take on the campy original.  With cast members like Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Banks, both Ryan and Will look forward to this upcoming film.
Part Two – Remembering Robin Williams
For the main portion of the show, we discussed Robin Williams, and many of our favorite films he’s been in.  We discussed how many of his roles have helped shape who we are as adults, especially his performance in Dead Poet Society.  As difficult as it is that he is no longer with us, the guys discussed how Robin Williams will live on through his movies.
