During a recent family vacation, I was near the historic Fort Fisher on the coast of North Carolina. Fort Fisher was a strategic stronghold, protecting the Port of Wilmington during the Civil War, held by the Confederate States. As a fan of history, it took it upon me to visit the site and learn about it. But imagine my shock when I found out there is a haunted history as well.
