10: Teaching Girls To Code Through Fashion with Makeda Ricketts (Pink Think)

December 16, 2015

Did you know that through elementary school that girls are actually very interested in science and math? Then something happens in junior high and girls lose their interest.

Makeda Ricketts, founder of Pink Think, decided to do something to fix that.

To engage girls in STEM and coding, she created a revolutionary codable bracelet based on input from girls. This wearable is going to help keep girls interested in science, math and coding well into high school and future careers. As our stories from the field guest would say, "Proving that something can be pretty and smart. Like girls."
