Tune in to Animal Wise Radio today as we visit with some change makers.

We're always pleased to talk with Howard Garret, one of Orca Network's founders, and one who teaches us about the amazing Orca, through the individual lives of a pod in the Puget Sound. Lolita, one wild, captive Orca held at the Miami Seaquarium, is the focus of our updates and conversation today as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reversed their decision about her status as an endangered species. How might this impact Lolita's life? We'll learn more - OrcaNetwork.org.

We're also very pleased to welcome back, Dr. John Pippin, Director of Academic Affairs for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine - PCRM.org. With science acknowledging a broader number of animals as sentient, how do researchers view animal testing, and are they aware of, and open to alternatives. Dr. Pippin will help us navigate this challenging topic.

And Michael Mountain, of EarthInTransition.org considers whether or not veganism is a religion.

In animal news, we will talk about the increasing number of vegans who are turning their backs on PETA, as PETA continues to show the world their radical and wildly crazy policies and tactics. We will also do some scientific fact-checking? Have nuclear apologists actually gone bananas?
