Money Plan SOS

This Teen’s Got Cents – Eva Baker on MPSOS142

January 30, 2014

This 17 year old has got some sense!
Eva Baker started a personal finance blog at TeensGotCents.com and is learning a lot about how money really works. This will benefit her greatly when she strikes and makes her mark on this world.

I saw Eva at a performance called "Ignite" and was blown away when I discovered she wasn't even old enough to be in the bar the event was held in!
Eva's experiences make cents
Eva tells the story of why she chose to start a blog at age 16, shares how she budgets her money with a basic envelope system, and then speaks from her own personal experiences about why having a simple plan and broad goals is key for any teenager to be prepared for adulthood.

Eva also stresses the importance for parents to start talking to their children about money and spending. It is clear that her mom had a lot to do with her success.

Furthermore, Eva Baker has started a business! She is an Independent Consultant for Paparazzi, a jewelry and accessory company, and she's really excited about the possibilities. She also is learning about many of the responsibilities of owing and running her own business.

These are more fantastic lessons to learn from while still on her mother's tax return.
