Keith Bateman: Older Yet Faster

September 29, 2019

Today’s guest on the Master’s Milers podcast is Keith Bateman. Keith is another Masters running legend and is another example of someone who came to running later in life who more than made up for lost time as a masters runner. He went on an epic two year run in 2010 and 2011 setting world records in the 55-59 age group for every event from the 1500m through the 10K. And remarkably, every one of those records still stands today, nearly 10 years later. Keith is now a coach and he is also the author of the aptly named book Older Yet Faster. As you will hear from the interview, a lot of Keith’s focus both as a coach and as a runner is on improving running form both as a way to run faster and to avoid injury.
