Week 2 of our Advent series we are looking at the second name of the Messiah in Isaiah 9:6-7 – “Mighty God.” Last week we learned that the Messiah would be the Wonderful Counselor – the one with a plan. This week we learn he also has power to carry out that plan. And our passage gives us one particular way that power will be used: to bring justice and righteousness – a right world, and right hearts.
