Wandering sheep and wandering believers, out of Matthew 18:12-20. This parable is told elsewhere in regard to unbelievers, but in Matthew’s Gospel Jesus tells this story to share God’s heart for believers, that if they wander from the flock that they might be restored. Emphasis is on God’s heart for reconciliation among his people.
