East Coast Version of Resuscitation Academy Revolutionizes Cardiac Arrest Care in Maryland

July 15, 2014

MedicCast host Jamie Davis, the Podmedic is joined again by Dr. Kevin Seaman, MD, FACEP, Medical Director of Howard County (Md.) Fire & Rescue service. Dr. Seaman has made significant contributions to prehospital emergency care well beyond the borders of Howard County, Md., where he has established a division of the Seattle Washington Resuscitation Academy.

The Maryland Resuscitation Academy is an offshoot of the West Coast Resuscitation Academy first started in Seattle, Washington. Using the same tried and true resources and techniques, Dr. Seaman and his East Coast team, together with key personnel from the West Coast team have worked to revolutionize the way CPR and cardiac arrest is treated in Maryland and surrounding areas who attend the academy.
