FDNY paramedic Farooq Muhammad has innovated EMS care through the creative use of YouTube videos he creates on emergency medical services topics. The videos he creates promotes New York’s Fire Department EMS system and it also does a fantastic job of promoting high quality EMS care for the entire industry. Farooq is one of this year’s EMS 10 Innovator Awardees at EMS Today 2014.

Joining MedicCast host Jamie Davis, the Podmedic on this segment is health care social media expert and frequent guest, Carissa Caramanis O’Brien. She has long been a proponent of using social media to promote health care agendas in creative ways. Farooq shares with Jamie and Carissa his experiences working from within the FDNY system to come up with his video segments. Check out his YouTube Channel.
