This week on the show, I have a special episode on the use of the drug TXA in major trauma patients in the field by EMS. Chris Montera, host at the EMS Garage podcast, sat down with EMS leader Dr. Ryan Gerecht. Dr. Gerecht started out his career in EMS as a volunteer EMT.

Dr. Gerecht comes by the Podcast Studio to talk about the prehospital use of TXA in EMS trauma cases. TXA is an anti-fibrinolytic. It stops your body from breaking down clots which is important in cases of trauma. Here’s that segment.
