More about Ed

Ed is a publisher with more than twenty years’ experience. For the past eight years, he has worked as a consultant with many of the leading magazine and book publishers, including Emap, Hodder, Harper Collins and Oxford University Press.


He has written seven books, all published by Hodder & Stoughton. In 2008, he was invited by the Chartered Management Institute to write a new book about management and leadership skills, which involved interviewing six of the UK’s most successful business men and women. The book was serialised in the Times in the weeks leading up to publication.


In 2012, Ed was appointed by the Guardian to lead a series of weekend Masterclasses on self-publishing. They have proved so popular that they have now become a regular fixture in the Guardian Masterclass event calendar.

Ed runs Balloon View, a specialist publisher of self help, personal development and alternative health books.
