Unsigned WA

Unsigned WA

It’s our 100th Podcast episode!

August 22, 2019

We made it! Our 100th podcast episode.

But firstly, to clear up any confusion because some of you may be thinking "But wait, last episode was 32 and now you're at 100?" Yep :) This all started with Canary Radio which, after 67 episodes, was renamed as Unsigned WA. We're now at episode 33 of Unsigned WA, which means we've done 100 episodes. If you'd like to check out the entire back catalogue, you can check out those 67 episodes here.

So, now, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for supporting us all this way. It's an unbelievable feeling knowing we've had the honour and privilege of sharing WA's ridiculous amount of talent with the world. A huge thank you goes to all the artists that have submitted their music and let us play it. To the listeners, thank you, for supporting us and the musicians. To all of the Music LINK WA team for their support and dedication. Just to everyone that has helped us get here.

Oh, and we're not stopping there either. We're changing it up. As of next week, we've got a new music show coming, and then the following week an interview episode. That's right, we're going weekly.

We're also still looking for more music to play, so if you're a local muso from Western Australia and would like to get your music potentially featured on an upcoming show, then hit us up through our submission page. Submissions are open to all genres, from unsigned and independent musicians residing in Western Australia.

As always, leave a comment below or if you're feeling really nice, head on over to iTunes and leave us a rating and review. Let us know what you like, or don't like, about the show. We're always looking at ways to improve.

And now, onto the show. And what a show it is. We've gone back through the archives and dug up some of our favourite tracks from the past few years. I say some, because this was one hell of a task. There were so many to choose from, so we hope you enjoy the ones we've selected.

So let's do this!

Yalla Yalla

The band is known for energetic live performances that have to be seen to understand what a powerhouse these guys are. It’s clear that they live to perform and love every second that they spend on the stage. Combining the melodic aspects of bands such as Radiohead with the energetic riffage of At The Drive In, Yalla Yalla paints with a truly unique sonic palette.
