God has called us all to be messengers of the word. The perfect seed is the word of God. Our duty as disciples is to spread the word to everyone without judgment. Once the seed is planted, God does the work on the heart. The parable displays four types of hearts: hard, stony, thorny, and good. We never know when or why a heart is in this condition; only God does. The perfect seed to planted, it takes root, and it begins to grow fruit. Why is fruit important? Because it is from the fruit that we gain seed to cast.
