Dr. Chris Carpenter, DVM, MBA - Author, Veterinarian

Dr. Carpenter has worked for years to help tweens and teens explore their dreams of becoming a veterinarian.

To help his future colleagues explore their dreams, Dr. Carpenter created Vet Set Go, the first and only web community dedicated to aspiring veterinarians. “Classroom presentations are fine,” says Dr. Carpenter. “I wanted to give today’s aspiring veterinarians something much more powerful. I wanted to give them a way to go behind the scenes and meet veterinarians. I wanted them to hear from veterinarians and see what they do.”
Dr. Carpenter’s is also a published author. His latest book, “Vet Set Go!” was written to solve a problem most future veterinarians face - getting experience. He holds a license to practice veterinary medicine in multiple states throughout the US. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the National Science Teachers Association. In addition to his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Carpenter holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Florida and a Masters of Business Administration from New Hampshire College.

During his visit with the boys, Dr. Carpenter not only discusses his “Vet Set Go!” program and book, he also talks about the process becoming a veterinarian, and touches on what it’s like to be one. It’s a fascinating discussion – one you will not want to miss!
