Reverend Timoth Sylvia serves the community as Senior Pastor from Newman Congregational Church, United Church of Christ in Rumford, Rhode Island. His passions within the church center around learning with others what it means to be church and how to best be followers of Jesus in times such as this. Outside of his ministry, he invests a good amount of his time and energy into advocating for children and families involved in the foster care system.

Timoth and his husband, Peter, are adoptive parents to three amazing boys and have fostered children over the years. They find great joy both in raising their sons and teaching others about the foster care system. Today, he joined us to speak out regarding marriage equality and the impact this upcoming election and the Supreme Court may have on LGBTQ marriage and parental rights.
