We are honored to have Dr. Danica Hubbard at our table this week. Dr. Danica Hubbard has taught for over 25 years as an English Professor at a community college located in the Chicago suburbs. As an author, she has been featured in local magazines and newspapers, presented at several universities, national conferences, and interviewed on multiple podcasts, focusing on how she turned her pain into positivity. Her book, Sex Offender: My Father’s Secrets, My Secret Shame, reflects on the relationship with her father while he was incarcerated and died in a maximum security prison hospice.

As a victim of sexual abuse herself, Dr. Hubbard is interested in continuing a safe and sensitive dialogue to hopefully begin a process of healing.
