Is having the ability to fly what makes Superman a hero? Technically, no, having the ability alone doesn’t make him a superhero. What makes Superman a superhero is that he has the abilities he has, and that he uses them to protect Metropolis. Scripture tells us throughout that, as a follower of Jesus, God has given us super powers through the Holy Spirit.
