Empowering communities in remote Nepal - Phase Worldwide

April 02, 2017

Phase Worldwide has saved at least one child’s life every month since its inception in 2005. 294 women have completed their literacy classes and they have trained 306 teachers. They have also provided 647 farmers with agricultural and livestock training. Phase Worldwide helps empower extremely isolated communities in Nepal, providing families the skills and services needed to break the cycle of poverty. Their community based projects focus on sustainable health, education and livelihood opportunities. Between 2006 and 2013 they treated over 230,000 patients in 13 health centers for an average cost of £2 per person. I talked with director, Sarah Galvin about the work Phase is doing and the impact they are having in the country.
