Episode 47: #LMW2015 Mixed TapeThanks for tuning in to day two of our Local Music Week 2015 coverage. This episode will be an artist sandwich! Here at 210 Local Media, we don’t discriminate against any style of music and we celebrate diversity. This is probably our most diverse episode so far and before we’ve finished this season, we hope it’ll become an episode that brings fans of each respective music style over to new types of music. We’re leading it off with a friend of mine who’s trying to break into the local R&B and Rap scene here in San Antonio JP and his EP Trigger Music Project:Two Bad (Ft. AFOS & R-Kive)Can She (Ft. AFOS)Girl Get Down (Ft. R-Kive)Bus StopAfter that, we’ve got our first Blues Rock band, Big E & The Wild Hairs with their track, Old Soul. We’ve also got another first, and one of the very few of it’s genre, Bitforce! Bitforce can best be described as video game music rock/metal. Basically, make your favorite video game music into something off of a classic Metallica album. See if you can recognize the video game referenced in their track, Song Of Storms. Finally, the rest of the musical sandwich is our new friend, David Martinez. David’s music is a mixture of pop, country, and alternative. David is also, our first official non-San Antonio musician. David’s hometown is in Corpus Christi but he does have a growing fan base here in San Antonio. We’d like to take this opportunity to open our doors a little bit and invite more non-local music into our podcast. Here’s David’s tracks:I Wanna KnowWhat You NeedWhere Could I GoThis is day two of local Music Week and there’s plenty more that you can find all over social media if you use #LMW2015 Thanks to Local 782, SATX Music, and Do210 for being the primary organizers behind this years Local Music Week.
