Imagine inviting your friends over, they bring over some food and beverages and everyone circles around a very talented artist performing a private concert. I spoke with Elise Michaels of Bend, Oregon who often hosts house concerts in her own home with incredible, eye-opening artists. She is a musician also, playing along side her husband and good friends in Sweet Whiskey Lips. She tells us just exactly what’s a house concert series, how to organize it and a few tips to successfully host one.

I’ve know Elise for many years. She and I have a lot in common, we’ve both working in television broadcast, she and I are web gurus and we both play a lot of live music. She was gracious enough to talk with me about her experience of putting on a house concert.
