The South East Asia MMA scene is full of personalities, but there’s no one quite like Jon Nutt. As the founder of Thailand’s one and only MMA promotion, Jon has been a pioneer in the movement of martial arts in the area for ages.

 

Aware of the challenges involved in establishing a mixed martial arts promotion in a country anchored in the tradition of muay thai, Jon Nutt has been taking his time building and polishing his brand.

 

On the heels of a successful Full Metal Dojo 5 event back in May, Jon has just announced that Full Metal Dojo 6 will take place in Bangkok at Club Insanity on August 22nd and it’s already shaping up to be an amazing event.

In between these two events, Jon has kept very busy, being heavily involved with multiple martial arts organizations such as the Tune Talk MMArr event that took place on a cruise ship, the frequent MIMMA events in Malaysia and the IMMAF initiative that took place at the UFC 189 International Fight Week in Las Vegas.

 

With FMD 7 and 8 already lined up for October 31st and December 12th, 2015 is turning out to be the biggest and most successful year for Full Metal Dojo and Jon has some pretty wild ideas that he’s implementing for all 3 and beyond.
