This amazing city captured my imagination during the 1992 Summer Olympics when the Dream Team won gold for USA Men’s Basketball.

Since then, I’ve learned that Barcelona is one hell of a place. And you need to come here. Like yesterday. Today. Now.

Announcement: I’ll be taking the Travel Hacking Podcast on the road! I’ll be in Zagreb, Croatia on June 1, 2014 and will leave from Oslo, Norway on June 18, 2014. If you’d like to connect, simply holler.
Spotlighted Destination

Barcelona, Spain

For starters, if you fly into BCN, their fantastic airport is easy to navigate, has an actual useful information booth unlike many other places I’ve been to, and you can hop on the bus to the city center in Plaça de Catalunya for about 5 Euros each way.
You will love La Boqueria. The market is clean, easy to navigate, full of fresh seafood, fruits, snacks, jamon and virtually every thing in sight will elevate all your senses of taste.

Get lost in one of my favorite neighborhoods there that surrounds the Jaume I metro stop.

And whatever you do, make sure you have a luxurious amount of jamon with Spanish wine and cheese.

Of course there are plenty of sights to see that are talked about in tour guides and other travel sites.

These are just my few favorite things that I think makes Barcelona special and that Spain highlights well so that you can come visit and enjoy.

Until next time,

Cheers.
