First, music history for June 21st.

John Lee Hooker, American blues singer and guitarist, died in his sleep aged 83 this day in 2001. He rose to fame performing an electric guitar-style adaptation of Delta blues.

Many artists including Cream, AC/DC, ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Van Morrison, The Yardbirds, The Doors and The White Stripes have covered his songs. He appeared and sang in the 1980 movie The Blues Brothers with his hit “Boom Boom”.

The Shop Window is on the podcast today to show us a glimpse of their incredible debut album The State Of Being Human. The Shop Window are a four-strong Janglepop/Indie guitar band, fronted by partners Carl Mann and Simon ‘Syd’ Oxlee from Maidstone, Kent UK
