FoWcast: Episode 14 – Alrightsaris

March 19, 2017

Shadai and Alex of the FoWcast discuss Force of Will news, Return of the Dragon Emperor, and take some Buy or Sell statements. Additionally, Alex interviewed Steven Hulshizer about his top 8 win at GP Atlanta, and Dylan West about why they chose to play Alisaris.
(Please note that this episode got stuck in editing purgatory for a while, so some of our talking points are a little out of date.)

From Reddit:
Sheodon: “Wanderer is a better format than New Frontiers. NF seems to be better just because it is more popular, and it is more supported.”
Tabula_Nuka: “The light dragon avatar will be a meta staple due to siegfried being a 3 mana 1300/1300 flier that recovers your ruler and all the new dragons we’ll be getting in L3”
Usht: “Odin will create a new variety of combo deck that will be strong enough to be competitive.”
SummerAxel: “1) Vingolf 3’s wind ruler will be used instead of Fiethsing in some weird turbo decks.
2) Said decks will perform.”
Yentoshi: “With L3 creeping and new addition support, [[Ancient Automaton]] will be the Menasor of FoW.
But [[Illusory Demonic Globe, Attoractia]] will save us! Right?”
Usht jumping in: “On that note, Marion will be good now with Kimono.dek. Hare of Inaba still bleh though.”
Srlqulongtard: “Resource Manipulation (Will) is out of control. Nearly Every meta deck is forced to run either ramp, hook, or both because being able to play 2-3 times as many cards as your opponent means you win.”
Artist_X: “New Frontiers is starting to get back to the very dry, combo feel that it used to be.
Fox Decks, Lumia Hook, Feithsing Turbo… unless something changes, we’re very quickly going to see ourselves sitting in the same, stale meta that we used to.”
