PTSD and the Endocannabinoid Receptor System

Episode 012: It is high time to discuss PTSD with regards to medical marijuana, CBD oil, and my favorite brand of hemp oil. There are at least two proteins and receptors in the bodies that are structurally similar to molecules found in hemp, which is the family name that described over 200 plants.

When the ECS gets depleted, all hell breaks loose. The body can no longer adapt to its environment. The mind gets stuck in the overwhelm and decisions get very difficult to make. Now, ten years ago doctors thought people with fibromyalgia were "crazy" or exaggerating. It turns out their “sensitive” because they have what Russo calls Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency.
