King Uzziah’s life serves as a strong warning to believers about the dangers of pride. When we begin to believe that we are beyond accountability for our actions, destruction is sure to follow. Pride isolates us from God and prevents us from devoting ourselves fully to Him. Only through Christ can we learn to overcome pride through humility. Pride often surfaces because we feel inferior and need to be more than what we are but our identity in Jesus tells us that He is more than enough than any void of inferiority we are trying to fill. May God humble us and expose the pride we often hide in our lives for our good and His glory.
