The office-landscape has largely stayed the same over the past 50 years. In this week's episode we are talking about everything that will change our preconceived notions of how an office is setup and how it works. Telecommuting is more widespread now more than ever. With VPN's (virtual private networks), and VOIP (voice over IP) solutions we can disconnect ourselves from the office with still being able to access everything as if we were sitting at our desk. Cloud-based file sharing services like Dropbox, Box.com, and SkyDrive (soon to be renamed OneDrive) you can securely access your company's files anywhere and on a multitude of devices. The absolute need for a physical office has greatly diminished over the past few years and from what we can see, that trend will continue well into the future.
