The chaplain may be a person of authority—a military officer, a departmental manager, a team leader, or a senior staff member. The chaplain may also be the person who has the most resources for spiritual care within the organization. The chaplain may even be a prominent figure within the organization, among the community, or in the public eye. Regardless of status or wherewithal, the chaplain must assume the attitude of the servant.
