Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney labeled the policy as anticompetitive and harmful to price competition. The Coalition for App Fairness also criticized the policy for not promoting consumer choice or competitive pricing. Similar policies by Apple in the Netherlands and South Korea have faced regulatory pushback and fines.
