Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Kevin Barron has lived and worked in several parts of the United States before returning to the Palmetto State and settling in the Pee Dee region with his wife, Melissa. Much of his life outside South Carolina was spent in and around the iconic Southern cities of New Orleans and Memphis. He is a board certified healthcare financial executive and expert in the field of contract negotiations and payer relations.

Kevin is an award-winning regional food blogger, having founded Pee Dee Foodie, with years of experience in blog creation, online community development, content marketing, sponsorship cultivation, and social media integration. He is also a prolific podcast producer and host with expertise derived through experience, self-study, and peer networking, as well as an experienced website designer using the WordPress platform. Kevin specializes in Integrated Social Media Strategy, Professional Podcast Production, and Creative WordPress Design.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Management from the A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana and a Master of Business Administration from the College of Business and Global Affairs at the University of Tennessee in Martin.

Kevin is a graduate of the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Florence program and the creator of the #GoFLO Campaign to increase awareness for and support of local, small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Kevin is an active supporter of the Florence Downtown Development Corporation, the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Florence Alumni Association, and other local nonprofit organizations.
