It’s the Blackstone Podcast, only BIGGER, and BETTER. In this incarnation of our beloved podcast series, we’ll be rocking and rolling with some familiar faces (the name Chris Flynn ring a bell?) and welcoming some brand new talent to our table, as well. Blackstone Media has done some growing over the last year, and we’re more than excited about sharing what we’ve learned and how we’ve WOW’ed.

In this podcast, we’re talkin’ Dev Team culture; from history of the team to roles and responsibilities. This is your opportunity to get up close and personal with the makers of Blackstone Media.

Blackstone Podcast 2.0 | Meet the Dev Team 
Chris Flynn: Welcome to the Blackstone podcast, my name is Chris Flynn, I am the host of the new podcast. We want to do something special today and this is basically going to be an introduction to the dev team. Previously, on the last Blackstone podcast, there wasn’t that much of that team. It was pretty much just me talking to myself and talking to few other people. We did interviews, talked about current client work – things have changed a lot in the several months since that  and with the revamping of the podcast we want to introduce the entire new team. Blackstone has made some large growth over the past couple of months and the team has grown – lots of new minds, lots of new faces and the work keeps getting bigger and better. So what we’re going to do is go around the table and let everybody introduce their selves and kind of give a brief introduction if they feel necessary, otherwise, we’ll start with introductions and move into the next section of the podcast. So to kick it off, my name is Chris Flynn, the software architect and tech lead of Blackstone Media. I’ve currently been working here for two years and love it, going to continue to love it and I’m glad to see the team growing. So I’ll introduce the team from here so, Chris.

Chris James: Yeah, I’m Chris James, currently for Blackstone Web Engineer is my title. I do a lot of back-end API development and client interaction using JavaScript and libraries like Angular. That’s what I do here.

Tom: My name is Tom King, I am a senior front end developer. I’ve been with the company for about a year now. I like learning more about what we’re doing and wanting to get into more of the back-end stuff. I’m going to be transitioning into some of that as well as time goes by.

John: Hey guys my name is John Webber. I am a UX architect, UI developer and also a front end developer. I try to do as much as possible to help the team here but I rely severely on these guys to actually make these things work and function so it’s a close-knit team here. I’ve been with Blackstone on and off for 2 years and just recently was hired about six months ago.

Pranay: Hi my name is Pranay Aryal and this is just my second day at work. I am helping out with back-end web development here at Blackstone.
