Blubrry 2025: A Year of Growth, Community, and Rememberance

2025 has been a year unlike any other for Blubrry. It was filled with milestones, connections, creativity, and — with heartbreaking loss — reflection on what really matters: the people who make podcasting what it is.

Celebrating 20 Years of Blubrry

This year marked two decades of Blubrry. Twenty years of helping podcasters share their voices, build communities, and grow their audiences. It’s incredible to look back and see how far podcasting has come — and to know that we’ve been part of that journey alongside creators of every kind.

Meeting the Podcast Community in Person

There’s nothing like connecting face-to-face with podcasters and creators. In 2025, we were thrilled to attend:

  • Podfest — January
  • Travelcon — March
  • Podcast Movement Evolutions — March
  • Podcast Movement — August

These events were full of inspiration, conversation, and insight. We loved meeting both new and experienced podcasters, sharing ideas, and learning from the community that fuels everything we do.

Supporting Podcasters Every Week

Our Office Hours series continued to grow, with 49 live sessions this year. From troubleshooting tech questions to brainstorming content strategies, these sessions have been an opportunity to connect, share knowledge, and make podcasting a little easier for everyone.

A Year of Learning and Sharing

In 2025, we also published 56 YouTube videos, covering:

  • Podcast tutorials for beginners and pros
  • Busting common podcast myths
  • Blubrry tool walkthroughs and guides

Each video aims to help podcasters spend more time creating and less time worrying about technical details.

Remembering Todd

This year brought a profound loss to the Blubrry family: the sudden passing of Todd, our leader, mentor, and friend. Todd’s passion for podcasting and for helping creators never wavered, and his influence is felt in every corner of Blubrry.

A Holiday Message from Barry Kantz, CEO of Blubrry

“As we approach this special time of year, I find myself thinking deeply about our friend and former CEO, Todd Cochrane. Todd passed away suddenly earlier this year while waiting for a flight in Washington. His loss still echoes through our team and our community.

Todd wasn’t just our CEO—he was the heartbeat of Blubrry. His energy, creativity, and commitment to podcasters built this company and this community into something truly meaningful. His presence is missed every day.

This season can be a time of great joy, but also a time of quiet sorrow for many. If you’re carrying a loss or hardship right now, please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I’ve been reminded this year just how fragile and precious life is. And to those who are fortunate enough to spend the holidays in comfort and celebration—I hope you soak in every moment of that joy and togetherness.

No matter where you find yourself this season, my wish for you is simple: that you find peace, feel connected, and know that you’re not alone. Our team at Blubrry is grateful for your support and trust. We carry Todd’s legacy forward every day, and we’re excited for what’s ahead. From my family to yours, and from all of us at Blubrry—happy holidays, and may the new year bring new possibilities and renewed hope.”

While we grieve, we also celebrate Todd’s life and the incredible impact he had on the podcasting world. His vision continues to guide us as we move forward.

Looking Ahead

2025 was a year of highs and lows, of community and connection, and of honoring the people who make podcasting possible. As we step into 2026, we carry forward the lessons, memories, and milestones of this year — and the commitment to supporting podcasters everywhere.

Here’s to more stories, more voices, and more moments that matter.
