No Tears for my Father was written with the hope that it might give reassurance to other victims of incest and childhood sexual abuse that they are not alone. Sadly, there are millions of us! While my story is sad, it does have a happy ending and it is my greatest hope that by reading and/or hearing NO TEARS FOR MY FATHER, other victims will believe that though we never “just get over it” we can get past what happened by consciously deciding we are not to blame and we can change our future direction.
In the previous two podcasts, I shared my early childhood days living in different areas of Sydney, Australia. Today, you will hear about what it was like for me to go “home” to my parents’ flat in Surry Hills for the weekends. You’ll meet my real life childhood friend, Denise, and hear about our encounter with a photographer whose interest in taking our pictures was as above board as he would have 2 young girls believe.
