Whistleblower Drama Sends Media on the Next Frenzy - President Trump defended his July call with Mr. Zelensky as “totally appropriate” but declined to provide further details. “It doesn’t matter what I discussed,” he said. Opponents are charging the President as working with a foreign leader to aide his own reelection campaign for the 2020 race. The charge is that during this phone call, he repeatedly pressured the president of Ukraine to investigate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden ’s son, urging Volodymyr Zelensky multiple times to work with Rudy Giuliani, his personal lawyer, on a probe. That is the charge from Paul Krugman, in an opinion column he penned in The New York Times.
