VZ 205: Be Your Own Health Advocate

May 21, 2017

A visit to the doctor’s office, even for a routine exam or procedure, can be intimidating. It’s easy to forget that, although doctors have the benefit of years of medical training, they may not always take the time to listen, or may not understand the things that are important to their patience. There is often a delicate balance between receiving quality care from medical professionals and practicing good self-care. In this episode of the Vegetarian Zen podcast, we focus on why it is important to be your own health advocate, and we share some ways to do this.
