Featured in TIR Episode 116 (Parts 1 of 4): A man who has been a prime figure and one of the most active members of Parliament-Funkadelic’s Funk Mob since the late 1970s — Michael “Clip” Payne.
After receiving his first official credit on Parliament’s 1978 masterpiece, The Motor Booty Affair, he would go on to lend his vocals, keyboard and other thangs to more than 20 P-Funk projects. He also became a touring fixture in George Clinton & the P-Funk All-Stars, and in the 2000s branched out to establish WEFUNK AD2k Records and Filmworks, from which he spun off his own groups and projects, including Drugs and 420 Funk Mob.
