Cyber Crime on the Space Station and More – Talkin’ Science Week 36 2019

September 03, 2019

It’s a bumper Talkin’ Science for Trekzone’s 200th podcast today. Brad’s here and he’s got details on his work at the Siding Springs Observatory plus there’s an allegation that NASA astronaut Anne McClaine may have committed a cyber crime while she was aboard the International Space Station which are headlining today’s show.
Plus, Brad and Matt discuss the Rosalind Franklin rover – a joint European and Russian mission to dig for microbes under the Martian surface. The James Webb telescope is finally built – over budget and over time… but it’s positives for science far outweigh the negatives. And as we recorded news came through of the successful undocking of India’s Chandrayaan-2 lunar lander from the orbiter. We’ll know on Saturday morning if it makes it to the surface.
