Preventing Teen Bullying: Legal Expert Gives Advice
On episode #85 of Time Out with Tinseltown Mom, we’re talking about preventing teen bullying. I’m bringing back top legal expert and licensed education attorney, Catherine Michael. Catherine represents students and their families in a variety of education and personal injury matters including Special Education Due Process, preventing tween and teen bullying, disciplinary issues, personal injury of children, sexual abuse, school shooting victims, as well as other civil rights and disability claims experienced by students. Today we’re going to talk about preventing tween and teen bullying.
According to the CDC, they define bullying as any unwanted aggressive behavior(s) by another youth or group of youths, who are not siblings or current dating partners, that involves an observed or perceived power imbalance, and is repeated multiple times or is highly likely to be repeated. Bullying may inflict harm or distress on the targeted youth including physical, psychological, social, or educational harm.
