Episode 088 - A Discussion on Kanye, Sunday Services, and The Church - Part 2

In a break from our normal programming, our host Christopher J Harris welcomes Pastor Justin Ross-Hillard, of New Orleans, Louisiana back to to the podcast.  Pastor Ross-Hillard wrote a brief social media post that has since gone viral.  His post, in response to the trending conversation of Kanye West's' recent involvement with several US mega-churches.  You can read his original post here. Many people - on all ends of the spectrum - have offered widespread commentary on the "Sunday Service" that Kanye has been hosting.  The Sunday Services has carried its share of mystery, unknown, and (probably) misunderstanding. Without defending the "Sunday Service" or Kanye West, our Host and Pastor Ross-Hillard have a candid discussion responding to a lot of what's trended over the last few weeks since Kanye has visited two well-known mega churches, one in Chicago and one in Atlanta. There may be more questions raised than answers, but this episode is sure to ignite a conversation...which is the goal!

He's served at ministries in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Chicago,IL. He’s an author and blogger with two books, Temporary Assignments and Church Strategies and Ministry Systems. He's an alumnus of Florida State University, University of South Carolina, special studies at Princeton Theological Seminary and doctoral work at Nova Southeastern University.
