Did You Watch The Game Show $100,000 Pyramid?

Welcome to March 2, 2021 on the National Day Calendar. Today we celebrate golden oldies and loveable authors.

Anna: Hey Marlo did you ever watch the game show $100,000 Pyramid?

Marlo: Hosted by Dick Clark? Of Course I did!

Anna: You wanna play?

Marlo: Sure!

Anna:  All the clues will be things that are old.  Ready? These items come in 33s, 45s, 78s and are played on a turntable.

Marlo: Vinyl Records.

Anna: This Rolling Stone is known for his strut and pouty lips and is now a great grandfather.

Marlo: Mick Jagger.

Anna: This guy began his career at World Book Encyclopedias and is now the keeper of the calendar.

Marlo: Hey!  I resemble that remark.

Anna:  Happy National Old Stuff Day, Marlo.

And now for a National Read Across America Day tradition on our show a poem by Chris Cecot:

There are books about pirates and books about Dizzles.

Poems of monkeys who dance when it drizzles.

If you let yourself dream with a rhyme or a book

To a wonderful, magical place you’ll be took.

So hop on a train or ride the caboose.

Cuz today we celebrate the good Dr Seuss.

Happy Dr. Seuss Day!

I’m Anna Devere and I’m Marlo Anderson.  Thanks for joining us as we Celebrate Every Day.
